About the competition
The competition is run by Nunkuwarrin Yunti of South Australia inc as part of its campaign to work with young Aboriginal people to tacklesmoking and live healthy lifestyles.
The competition
The “Don’t let your dreams go up in smokes…” Create a Character Competition has been developed to engage young Indigenous people between the ages of 8 – 14 to further promote and create awareness on the impacts of smoking in their lives and how it can affect their dreams. Actvity
Create and name a character for the campaign. Ï don’t want my dreams goin’ up in smokes” campaign has included characters to share messages and tell stories based on our themes of “dreams” and “Be & Stay Smoke Free”. These characters feature throughout the campaign and can be used in our comic strip activity. Currently there are two characters (boy and girl), each in six different poses that have been created, see below. The campaign is looking for new themed charters to share future messages and feature in our comic strip activity.

Prize
1 x Bounce Pass and your character design turned into an animated character that will feature throughout the campaign resources.
Selection Process
Entries will be judged on how well the characters align with the campaigns themes of “reach your dreams” & “don’t smoke””. The winners will have their character animated and feature throughout the campaign.
Creating your character
Draw your character using the template provided or create online if you have the tools and know-how. Tell us in 25 words or less about your character. Characters might include an object, people, animals, a superhero or an evil nemesis.

Competition Close: Wednesday 16th December 2015
